子供と一緒に勉強するのにいいサイトだよ、モチ、自分用にもね
春休み中の今、shoと一緒にこれを頑張ろうと思います

shoが気に入ってるのはディクテーションのコーナー
ディクテーションと言うのはカンや思い込みでは回答出来ないんです
文法、スペリング、もちろんリスニングの勉強にもなるんです

My god!ってよく使いますよね

でもピン吉のＥＳＬの先生の話では
使わないお家もあるそうです
実際先生のお宅ではOh, my god!は禁止語だそうです
ティーンの子供たちが使うと｢家には神はいない」と叱るそうです
宗教的なものなんだろうけど
へぇへぇへぇ(ふるっ）でした

代わりに登場するのがgosh
godはだめだけど、goshに変えればＯＫだそうです（ふぅ〜ん）

これからOh, my gosh!にしちゃおうかな(笑)

お隣Ｂ市でのＥＳＬ２回目
相変わらずむずぃです

しかしだんだん気に入ってきた
先生がすっごい好みです（あっ、年配の女性です）
テンポがよく面白い

ちなみにこの日のメニュー

先生のたとえ話が面白いんですねぇ
すごく引き込まれます、うなずきや笑いが起きるんです
教授法もためになりますし人生経験談や話術も楽しめます
あ〜あと６回、楽しみ金曜日になりそう

ちなみに１０分で辞書なしの殴り書き状態のピン吉のライティング
先生からは「簡単に読めてノーミス」と言われたのでここに載せちゃお

I am not a person who thinks about death seriously.　Everyone is born and dies equally.　My husband and I often talk about the life after retiring and we can have a good image of that.　The important thing is that to enjoy everyday life, not to talk about our death but to talk about our children's happy future.
I want to be a positive person and I want to laugh about all negative things.　Hopefully, I want to die earlier than my husband does though my husband says the same thing.
どうやらほんとに簡単な中学生の英文ですねぇ(爆)

（ちなみに隣のフランス人生徒はアカデミックでノーミス、エクセレントだからコピーさせてって先生に言われてた、レベル高っ！笑）

８回だけお隣のＢ市のＥＳＬに通うことにした

なんせ学校は久しぶりのピン吉
年甲斐もなくドキドキしました

クラスメートは皆顔見知りのようで
すでに何人かのかたまりで座っていた
あ〜いまさらながらshoの気持ち分かる

誰でも良いから知り合いがいれば・・・
な〜んて思いながら教室を眺めてた

クラスメートは全部で８名
自己紹介が済んだら即ＴＯＥＦＬの問題集

いきなりむずぃ
そして８人だから回答が回ってくるのが早っ
あてずっぽで当たると妙に嬉しい・・・あほっ！

あと７回・・・続くかなぁ・・・

My family had an opportunity to live in three states in the United States, CA,MI and TX from 1992 to 1999. We enjoyed living in each state which has different climates, scenery and people.

One day I happened to talk to an old woman, who was raised in MI and has lived there for a long time. When we talked about the differnces between the states, I simply said to her "I like Michigan better than California." That seemed to be a big surprise to her. In CA, the weather is always fine and they can see blue sky all year. In MI, on the other hand, there are four seasons and the beautiful green after the long winter is brilliant.

However, according to this woman, the economy situation of MI is not good and it is harder to find jobs. Moreover, there are not many famous places, or turists from other states and countries. She continued to complain about recent MI as if her complaints lasted forever.

(Yeah, I agreeed with her in some points in my heart. Honestly I wish there were nice places to fish nearby. I wish they had shorter, warmer winter here. But I didn't mention that in front of her.)

So I tried to add some in my opinion. "The education level is higher, I believe. People are more friendly. Residential areas are safer, nicer and quieter." Finally, those my opinions made the woman happy and satisfied. We both smiled.

It is the best way to try to find something good in your place, once you move there, isn't it?

Comparing with TX, that is another story. My family will escape from this cold area and fly to TX to enjoy fishing next week!

すごく楽しいです
そして勉強になる
何の勉強かって言うと・・・擬音語です

擬音語というとpop/splash/boom/bangなどはお馴染みだけど
知らないのも結構あったりして
あるページは全部擬音語な〜んてのもあって楽しい















ＮＡＲＵＴＯシリーズもっと欲しいな♪

読む本がなくなったので
またハリポタ１を読んでます

読み終わって間髪入れずに読み返すと
２〜３倍の速さで読めるんですねぇ

これはＤＶＤ鑑賞にはない読書のよさだと発見

ちなみにハリポタは８ｔｈ〜１２ｔｈあたり
ちょうど中学生が読むのにふさわしい本らしい

そういえば本屋さんでハリポタ最終章の本が半額で売られてた
ハードカバーで３２ドルくらいのが半額
思わず手が出そうになったけどやっぱり文字が小さいので止めた

図書館でLARGE PRINT TYPRの本が揃うのを待つか（探すのが困難）
それとも老眼のメガネを買うか・・・（悲）

shoとＴ市の図書館デビュー

ＥＳＬでは毎日２０分は英語の本を読むように言われています
漫画でもいいんだって！へ〜〜〜♪

で、早速漫画コーナーでガーフィールドゲット







こちらも漫画っぽい？海賊の歴史の本







sho曰くみんなが読んでる本だそうです（知らんかった）







そしてハリーポッター１（これはまだshoには難しい？）







ところで、ハリポタですが
ペーパーバックでなくハードカバーのを探したくて
係りの人に「おっきい本探してください」って頼んだんです
そしたら「おっきい」が功を奏してかハードカバーの中でも
中の字が普通よりでかいのを見つけてくれたんです
最近はほんとに細かい文字が読めなくて困ってた
特にメガネを外さずには字が読めない
ピン吉老眼デビューか？って感じだったんです

これはありがたい本ですね
ちなみに「ＬＡＲＧＥ　ＴＹＰＥ」と言うらしい
同じハリポタでも文字を比べて明白
左がＬＡＲＧＥ　ＴＹＰＥで右がうちにあったペーパーバック

あきらめかけてたペーパーバックよさようなら
「ＬＡＲＧＥ　ＴＹＰＥ」ならば
ハリポタ全巻制覇できそうです♪

One day I went to a pet shop. I saw severel cats sharing a big cage and was waiting for someone to take them home. I was shocked to hear that one of them, the beautiful young male cat like a Russian blue was found in a grassy place. From being a nice friendly cat, I thought the cat was kept at home once and abandoned. I was also surprised that the cat was sold for 60 dollars at that store.

I wondered what 60 dollars meant. After a while, I found that it is considered a donation which includes the food, care, treatment, and cost for cats. In the United States, a donation is performed anywhere anytime.

In Japan, mixed breed cats are seldom seen in a pet shop. Instead I know there are many people who take care of stray, abandonded, and even wild hungry cats. They also try to find foster families for those cats as volunteers. I actually was in that field for about four years.

Everyone can have animals like dogs and cats at home easily. The question is whether they can take care of them until the end of their lives. In this point of view, I think the situation between the US and Japan is the same.

時制をやり直してます

時制は１２種類あるんだけど
１２番目の未来完了進行形なんてあんまり聞かないよ
口だって回らないしwillとhaveとbeenと〜ingの組み合わせなんてすごい遠まわしっぽいね

チューターに聞いてみると案の定英語圏でもそんなに使われないらしい
若者なんか特に使わないって（笑）
イギリスの空港で年配の丁寧なポーターさんが使ってたことがあるって（その程度？）

あ〜そんなに使われる頻度がない１２番目の時制のことは
今日から忘れることにした（爆）

最初はアメリカ行きを誰にも言えなくて
こそこそ寂しく書いてたブログですが
今はブログネタを探すのが楽しみな毎日です（笑）

本日より毎週木曜日半年間ですが
pinkyもひょんなことから英語の勉強することになりました
まずはＴＯＥＩＣを受けようと思います
目標点数は『旦那の点数を越す』こと♪

しかし今は家族に完璧主婦を望まれてますので
亀になったりウサギになったりほどほどに楽しくやります

初日は普通にしゃべってグラマーのテキストなどを決めた
『新しい本はわくわくするわ』
『あまりに古いから数冊注文したばっかりなの』
確かにそのテキストはぼろぼろでした

ちょっとちぐはぐな会話に不安になった
商品が新しいのnew
自分にとって初めて出会う新しい本のnew
同じnewでいいんだよなぁ？？？とか

勉強のこともちょっとづつ載せて行きたいと思います♪
