Sorry folks that I haven't written for ages. To be honest, on top of the fact that I had been too busy, I didn't have enough materials to write about. I hadn't had passion as well. Even though you are into something, sometimes you lose motivation for a while. This doesn't mean that you totally lost interest in what you like, but it just happens from time to time. This experience happened to me even in studying English when I was younger. You cannot avoid this in order to continue doing something. This may be a part of process to achieve something in a sense as everything we have to do in our lives is what we create in the long term. Nothing cannot be realized without continuation and only cold-blood people can do without any hiatus and some temporary stoppage. So sometimes we have to stop to continue doing.
Anyway, I made a trip to New Mexico during the winter holiday. It turned out to be a very spiritual trip as well as a successful angling trip. While I caught a lot of fish under very severe weather condition that was affected by some reverse effects of "El nino" phenomenon, I encountered many cultural aspects which we cannot see in the beaten tracks in regular tourist spots in the US. If you visit or just like America, you should include the cultue of naive Americans. New Mexico is the best place to know their lives and cultures. I visited one of two world heritage sites NM has: Taos pueblo, a village of native Americans; thus it is preserved for their heritage. My wife and I happened to watch their ritual dance. Besides cultural instigation we received from their culture, the scenery the states has also inspired us to appreciate both nature and lead to rethink of some tragic side of our civilization.
Speaking of fishing, the San Juan is one of the great fisheris in North America. Although it is more of artifial fishing site as rainbows do not regenerte and they are stocked while browns regenerate, we can also enjoy the well-managed fishey thoughout the year. I caught tons of beautiful rainbows on nymphs even in winter and lucklily managed to enjoy dry fly fishing on the last day of fishing and landed some beauties of brown.
New Mexico has a lot to do and lots to see. Shopping too is great. If you like Indian accessories, this is where you can find a lot of rare items. There are some cowboy hat and boots stores. Foods are also awesome. Usually in other states you get tired of some American food; here there is additinal culinary cultue: Mexican cuisine. So you do not get tired. Rather you do not feel like leaving this beautiful country.
