READING THE PSALMS WITH LUTHER

Psalm92 　詩篇第92篇

1.　　It is good to give thanks to the LORD,
　　　to sing praises to your name, O Most High;

　　　主に感謝することは　良いことです。
　　　いと高き方よ　あなたの御名をほめ歌うことは。

2.　　to declare your steadfast love in the morning,
　　　and your faithfulness by night,

　　　朝に　あなたの恵みを
　　　夜ごとに　あなたの真実を告げることは。

3.　　to the music of the lute and the harp,
　　　to the melody of the lyre.

　　　十弦の琴に合わせ
　　　竪琴の妙なる調べにのせて。

4.　　For you, O LORD, have made me glad by your work;
　　　at the works of your hands I sing for joy.

　　　主よ　あなたは　あなたのなさったことで
　　　私を喜ばせてくださいました。
　　　あなたの御手のわざを　私は喜び歌います。

5.　　How great are your works, O LORD!
　　　Your thoughts are very deep!

　　　主よ　あなたのみわざは　なんと大きいことでしょう。
　　　あなたの御思いは　あまりにも深いのです。

6.　　The stupid man cannot know;
　　　the fool cannot understand this:

　　　無思慮な者は知らず
　　　愚かな者にはこれが分かりません。

7.　　that though the wicked sprout like grass
　　　and All evildoers flourish, they are
　　　doomed to destruction forever;

　　　悪い者が　青草のように萌え出で
　　　不法を行う者が　みな花を咲かせても
　　　それは彼らが永久に滅ぼされるためです。

8.　　but you, O LORD, are on high forever.

　　　主よ　あなたは永遠に　いと高き所におられます。

9.　　For behold, your enemies,
　　　O LORD, for behold, your enemies shall perish;
　　　all evildoers shall be scattered.

　　　主よ　まことに今　あなたの敵が
　　　まことに今　あなたの敵が滅びます。
　　　不法を行う者はみな散らされます。

10. 　But you have exalted my horn
　　　like that of the wild ox,
　　　you have poured over me fresh oil.

　　　あなたは　野牛の角のように私の角を高く上げ
　　　私にみずみずしい油を注がれました。

11. 　My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies;
　　　my ears have heard the doom of my evil assailants.

　　　私の目は　私を待ち構えている者どもを眺め
　　　耳は　私に向かい立つ悪人どものことを聞きます。

12. 　The righteous flourish like the palm tree
　　　and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

　　　正しい者は　なつめ椰子の木のように萌え出で
　　　レバノンの杉のように育ちます。

13. 　They are planted in the house of the LORD;
　　　they flourish in the courts of our God.

　　　彼らは　主の家に植えられ
　　　私たちの神の大庭で花を咲かせます。

14. 　They still bear fruit in old age;
　　　they are ever full of sap and green,

　　　彼らは年老いてもなお　実を実らせ
　　　青々と生い茂ります。

15. 　to declare that the Lord is upright;
　　　he is my rock, and there is
　　　no unrighteousness in him.

　　　こうして告げます。　「主は正しい方。
　　　わが岩。　主には偽りがありません。」


(解説)
The 92nd psalm is a psalm of comfort that extols God’s Word as
the most highly exalted and precious gift against the false saints,
whom it attacks.

詩篇第92篇は慰めの詩篇で、神の御言葉を最も高く賞賛されるものと
して、また御言葉が攻撃する偽の聖徒たちに対抗する高価な贈り物とし
て称揚しています。

They certainly flower for a time, glorious and powerful, but finally
they perish. However, the righteous will remain forever.

偽の聖徒たちは一時は花開き、栄光に満ち、そして強力ですが、終(つい)
には滅びてしまいます。しかし義人は永遠に留まります。

Although they come to an old age, they shall yet never be old, but
they become young daily through God’s Word, which always conveys
fruit and new growth.

彼らは高齢になっても老化はしません。彼らは神の御言葉によって、日々
若返ります。神の御言葉は常に実を結び、新たに成長するのです。

But fools neither consider nor understand these things, as we also
see today in our own time.

しかし愚かな人たちは、これらの事を考えもしなければ、理解もしませ
ん。それは現代において、私たちが見ているとおりです。


(PRAYER 祈り)
Oh, that I had a thousand voices
　　　To praise my God with thousand tongues!
　　My heart, which in the Lord rejoices,
　　　Then would proclaim in grateful songs
　　To all, wherever I might be,
　　　What great things God has done for me. Amen. (LSB 811:1)

千の声があれば良いのに。
　　　千の舌で神を讃えたい！
　　私の心は主にあって喜ぶ。
　　　それで感謝の歌を歌って知らせる。
　　どこにいても全ての人に、
　　　何と素晴らしいことを神様は私にしてくださったことか。
