READING THE PSALMS WITH LUTHER

Psalm113 　詩篇第113篇

1.　　Praise the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD,
　　　praise the name of the LORD!

　　　主のしもべたちよ　ほめたたえよ。
　　　主の御名をほめたたえよ。

2.　　Blessed be the name of the LORD
　　　from this time forth and forevermore!

　　　今よりとこしえまで
　　　主の御名がほめられるように。

3.　　From the rising of the sun to its setting,
　　　the name of the LORD is to be praised!

　　　日の昇るところから沈むところまで
　　　主の御名がほめたたえられるように。

4.　　The LORD is high above all nations,
　　　and his glory above the heavens!

　　　主はすべての国々の上に高くおられ
　　　その栄光は天の上にある。

5.　　Who is like the LORD our God,
　　　who is seated on high,

　　　だれが　私たちの神　主のようであろうか。
　　　主は高い御位に座し

6.　　who looks far down
　　　on the heavens and the earth?

　　　身を低くして
　　　天と地をご覧になる。

7.　　He raises the poor from the dust
　　　and lifts the needy from the ash heap,

　　　主は弱い者をちりから起こし
　　　貧しい人をあくたから引き上げ

8.　　to make them sit with princes,
　　　with the princes of his people.

　　　彼らを　高貴な人々とともに
　　　御民の高貴な人々とともに　座につかせられる。

9.　　He gives the barren woman a home,
　　　making her the joyous mother
　　　of children. Praise the LORD!

　　　主は　子のいない女を
　　　子を持って喜ぶ母とし
　　　家に住まわせてくださる。
　　　ハレルヤ。



(解説)
The 113th psalm is a prophecy of the kingdom of Christ, which
from the rising of the sun to its setting shall extend over all the nations.

詩篇第113篇は、キリストの王国の預言です。その王国は日の昇るところ
から日の沈むところまでの全ての国に広がります。

The psalm calls on all nations to praise God and proclaim His grace.

この詩篇は全ての国に神を讃え、神のめぐみを示すように呼びかけます。

He is a God of the poor and troubled, a delightful God and worthy
of our grace, who sits on high and loves and exalts the humble.

この神は貧しい者や困っている者の神であり、楽しい神であり、私たちが
感謝するのに値します。神は高い御座に座り、謙虚な者を愛し、引き上げ
られます。

This is Christ’s office and work in His kingdom: to humble the exalted,
to make foolish the wise, to damn the holy, to wither the fruitful,
and on the other hand to exalt the humble, to make holy the sinner,
to make the barren into a joyful mother of children.

キリストの王国におけるキリストの任務は次の通りです。有頂天な者を謙
虚にする。愚かな者を賢くする。聖なる者を地獄に落とす。実り多いもの
を枯らす。そしてその一方で、謙虚な者を引き上げる。罪人を聖くする。
子どものない者を快活な、子たちの母とする。


(PRAYER 祈り)
Blessed be the Son of David, who came in the name of the Lord to
establish a kingdom of grace on the earth; who has also called us and
has made us citizens of His kingdom, partakers of His grace.

ダビデの子に祝福がありますように。彼は主の御名によって、恵みの王国
をこの地上に建てるために来られました。彼はまた私たちを招き、彼の王
国の民とし、彼の恵みを共同で受け取る者としてくださいました。

May He, our King, by His good Spirit so guide and govern us as to
bring us out of this world, so full of sin, into that eternal kingdom
wherein dwells righteousness. Amen.

私たちの王である彼キリストが、その善良な霊により、私たちを罪に満ち
たこの世の外へ、そして正義が宿る永遠の王国へと導いてください。
アーメン。
