READING THE PSALMS WITH LUTHER

Psalm87 　詩篇第87篇

1.　　On the holy mount stands the city he founded;

　　　主の礎は聖なる山にある。

2.　　the LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling
　　　places of Jacob.

　　　主はシオンの門を愛される。
　　　ヤコブのどの住まいよりも。

3.　　Glorious things of you are spoken, O city of God.

　　　神の都よ　あなたについて　誉れあることが語られている。

4.　　Among those who know me
　　　I mention Rahab and Babylon;
　　　behold, Philistia and Tyre, with Cush---
　　　“This one was born there,” they say.

　　　「わたしはラハブとバビロンを
　　　わたしを知る者として記憶しよう。
　　　見よ　ペリシテとツロ　クシュもともに。
　　　『この者は　この都で生まれた』と。」

5.　　And of Zion it shall be said,
　　　“This one and that one were born in her”;
　　　for the Most High himself will establish her.

　　　しかし　シオンについては　こう言われている。
　　　「この者もあの者も　この都で生まれた。
　　　いと高き方ご自身が　シオンを堅く建てられる」と。

6.　　The LORD records as he registers the peoples,
　　　“This one was born there.”

　　　主が「この者は　この都で生まれた」と記して
　　　国々の民を登録される。

7.　　Singers and dancers alike say
　　　“All my springs are in you.”

　　　歌う者も　踊る者も
　　　「私の泉はみな　あなたにあります」と言う。



(解説)
The 87th psalm is a prophecy of the Holy Christian Church, that
it shall be a city as wide as the earth is, and in it shall be born
Ethiopians, Egyptians, Babylonians, Philistines, residents of Tyre,
and peoples of other lands and tongues.

詩篇第87篇は、聖キリスト教会であり、それは地球大の都市になり、そ
こでエチオピア人、エジプト人、バビロン人、ペリシテ人、ツロの住人
その他の国々や言語の人たちが生れるであろうと預言しています。

This shall all happen through the Gospel, which shall preach
marvelous things of God, namely, the knowledge of God, how one
may come to God, be freed from sin, and be saved from death, through
Christ.

これらすべての事は、福音によって生じます。福音は神のとても素晴ら
しい物事を説くでしょう。つまり神の知識、人はどのように神の下に
来て罪から解放され、キリストにより死から救われるかについて説かれ
るでしょう。

And the worship of God in this city shall also be singing and dancing,
that is, they will proclaim, praise, and thank God’s grace with joy.
In that city, no Moses shall plague and torment us with his Law.

そしてこの都における神の礼拝は、歌と踊りでしょう。すなわち、彼ら
は神の恵みを喜びに溢れて宣言し、褒め称え、感謝するのです。その都
においては、モーセのような人がその律法によって私たちを悩ませず、
苦しめません。


(PRAYER 祈り)
Thanks be to You, our heavenly Father, because You have called us
into the Church of Your Son, Jesus Christ, and have begotten us
again unto a lively hope through the Gospel.

天にいます私たちの父よ、あなたに感謝します。あなたの御子イエス・キ
リストの教会に私たちを呼び入れてくださったからです。また福音を通し
て私たちを活気ある希望の中に産んでくださったからです。

Keep us steadfast in the faith, that we may remain living stones in
this Your spiritual temple to our last day, and cause us always to
rejoice over Your salvation. Amen.

私たちをしっかりと信仰の中にお守りください。あなたの霊の宮の中で
私たちの最後の日まで生きた石として留まれますように。また常にあな
たの救いを喜ぶことだできますように。　アーメン。
